Fearless

Aimee here – And what a weekend!

First I want to share with you a verse that God laid before me this morning:

“The fear of man brings a snare, but he who trusts in the LORD will be exalted” Proverbs 29:25

“Fearless” Defined: Bold, Brave Courageous. (Defender of freedom)

self-confidence

On Saturday I went to an event. The event was called “Champions Day” and it alive, and powerful. The leaders spoke truth and life to all who came to this event. I took home with me so much more strength then I came in with. (Now I want you to know that I didn’t come in being fearful, and I didn’t feel like I was lacking,) because the leaders helped by sharing love and showed how through self-growth we find securities while guiding ways to push our limits so that we can grow. If we don’t grow ourselves how can we help others grow? Let’s say someone has a feeling they are called to be a leader, yet they have never led anything in their life. Do you think they could go and stand up and lead others from day one? …haha “NO” not usually. All though, there may be few cases where that may be true.

Some Highlights I gleamed from “Champions Day”

Four Stages of Personal Growth – By Byron Gega

  1. Directed (shown how to do a task by the mentors and leaders who came before you)
  2. Coached (working through things with your mentors and leaders to produce movement)
  3. Consulting (sharing, and guiding others while still working with your mentors and leaders)
  4. Delegating (You are directing, coaching, and consulting to help others follow you in the same footsteps)

For Personal Growth you share with others by:

  • Get consistent
  • Stay focused
  • speaking
  • Interacting
  • Getting and giving advice (never go it alone)

Words by JD & Shawna Danburg:

“When you keep going your income will keep growing”

“Get Boxing gloves on and Fight”

“The more you act, the more your fear goes away”

When “Champions Day” was over, I was empowered to share and be a blessing to others! I know that what I am here for is to help others see that other options are available, and that if they want to be part of the team we are building then lets link arms and we will make it happen!

One of my favorite thing I gleamed from at the event was how God pulled in something He was teaching me earlier this week, I have a whiteboard at home that my husband and I use to help keep us on track with our business and where we are going, and growing! Earlier this week I was watching a video on how to keep movement for growth and I had decided to re-do our white board. As I was writing down on the white board I had realized I was spelling out S.C.O.R.E (Spark, Connect, Obtain, Reach, Earn) The awesome thing at “Champions Day” was how many time they used the word SCORE (no acronym) but allowed a fulfillment of God saying you follow through this and you will grow to the levels you want to reach!

Another part of the weekend that God spoke to me was when my family and I went to the ape caves Sunday morning, which was wet, fun, and crazy.

When we reached the halfway point in the cave my 6 year old son had quite an experience and became overwhelmed, tired, scared and fearful. As a mom I knew this was because he was wanting to be held, he was wining, and was very clingy. I knew he was having fun in the cave till he realized we were going to have to go back the way we came in. The reason why he was having fun on the way in was because it was an adventure, and he was enjoying the company of the friends that came with us. I knew that since the point fear had then taken over and he was only thinking of the things that we putting him in the scary place. So I started singing to him. We walking ahead, a bit quicker than everyone else, and within about 15 min he was starting to come back to the mindset he had when we were going into the cave. Time started to be distant from his mind again, and before we knew it we found we were back to the entrance of the cave. It’s funny how one move into fear takes our eyes off of God we begin to find our self in fear, pride, and selfish ways. Nothing is happening quickly enough, and we want to find a way out yesterday. But when we put our trust back in HIM we find the peace only HE can bring and can keep moving forward!

This weekend just kept getting better because our family group started back with a new study this last Sunday night and this study is called “From Dream to Destiny”. I love how when we open our eyes and let God lead he shows the path. Our selfish ways are fearful and we find our path seems distant, narrow, and unknown (quite like my son in the ape caves). But when we put our trust in Him, the less we fear the path. The road widens, and we find our destiny is closer than we had thought.

Here are a few key points I took from the study

  • Pride kills relationships, so the only way to cut pride down is to dig up the root
  • The root of pride is insecurity. We dig up the root is by using God as our strength!
  • Our own confidence brings out the pride, so let’s dig up our confidence and give Jesus our insecurities, and take on God confidence.
    • Insecurities are fears that we know we have problems with when we go life alone, but by using God confidence we are secure through the love HE has for us and that we are His sons and daughters. Just remind our memories show us of where we came from, but it’s through God that we know where we are going. As long as He is our Guide we will never have that bad root again. It’s only when we turn from His confidence that we find ourselves needing to dig up the pride root again.

I love how God has used this whole weekend to be many teaching moments for me, I hope you find these encouraging for what you may be going through. If you have anything that needs prayers for. Please don’t hesitate to share! We are here to lift each other up in love!

Gift from Above!

Death has no sting
Death has no sting

Today as I take in the true meaning of Christ’s risen from the grave.   I am in complete peace and awe.  My family and I choose not to partake in the egg hunts, the bunny, and inhaling of chocolate that would give a “Chocolate Coma”…lol.  For us we have music playing around the house that uplifts Jesus, thanking Him for his saving grace and the blood He shed and died for us. The sins we make in the fleshly bodies were crucified with Christ!  As I contemplate my thoughts on this Easter Sunday, I remember that I am blessed and glorifying God on this Holy day! If it wasn’t for Jesus choosing to be my savior, I would have been lost. I wouldn’t have the life I live today.
Ask yourself what Easter means to you?

Thank you Jesus for coming and dying, Thank you God for allowing your son to bare his life for us, Thank you Holy Spirit for filling us to this day with Love!

1 Corinthians 15: 54b-58 (NLT)
Death is swallowed up in victory.                                                                             O death, where is your victory?                                                                                 O death, where is your sting?”
For sin is the sting that results in death, and the law gives sin its power.  But thank God! He gives us victory over sin and death through our Lord Jesus Christ.  So, my dear brothers and sisters, be strong and immovable. Always work enthusiastically for the Lord, for you know that nothing you do for the Lord is ever useless

Two Steps Forward One Step Back

Aimee Here –
At times I struggle with the feeling of little worth in my life. I find myself question the motives that God has for me.
In these times I question if I am to be a leader of many? Or to be the helper that (figuratively) opens the door for the leader to step through?
I know God wants me to step up to the plate, and the only thing holding me back is me! I sadly I know I have allowed negativity to creep in while watching others around me rise above. And have found my mind bring quite the pity party wondering when it’s my turn. (Instantly in that thought I feel weak and selfish, knowing that was not a fruit of the spirit.) So prayer in that moment is my warrior to bring me back to God and reminds me that my selfishness only sets me up for failure of my own doing.
We must look at ourselves internally and always think if our mind is on things of God or on things of self.

You are worth everything
You are worth everything

Things of self is of the flesh, and things of God are of the Spirit!

Galatians 5:22-23 ESV
“But the fruit of the Spirit is love, joy, peace, patience, kindness, goodness, faithfulness, gentleness, self-control; against such things there is no law. “

Galatians 5:24 ESV
“And those who belong to Christ Jesus have crucified the flesh with its passions and desires. “

So with the Am I to be a Paul of this world, or maybe a Timothy? Do find myself in a place where God can use me to be an up lifter and to help other hear their calling so we all can be difference makers’ together. Or do I use the little I feel God has called me to as enough and move forward in feeling less than?

Either way we need to know that God always has a Greatness for each of us! And here is why:
Was Paul (the mentor) more loved by God then Timothy (the student)? NO, we all have a time and a place of being the student and the mentor. We cannot grow unless we ask for help from those who have gone before us. We must know there are things to be learned before we can be a leader to others.
Is my time to be used for God only a small part in this world? NO, what we do is like a butterfly effect! We may not know the depth of what we do, but God does and we should always be ready to help others for the Glory of God!
How can we grow if we can only expect God’s blessings to shine on us? God will use our hard times to grow us and make us stronger!
We need to be grateful that God is working in our life, and using us at all. We cannot be all that he has made us until we let go of the negativity that weighs us down. How do we do this? We praise and are grateful for the little things like breath, and to remember God will never give us more then we can handle!

Proverbs 17:22 ESV
“A joyful heart is good medicine, but a crushed spirit dries up the bones. “

God will not give us a yearning deep within so we just give up and squander it. So let us not make a pity party when it’s not our turn up on the stage. There is a time and place for it all! We are told to be life givers to each other, sharing not only our blessings and joys but also with everyone.

Proverbs 27:17 ESV
“Iron sharpens iron, and one man sharpens another. “

2 Corinthians 13:11-14 NIV
“Finally, brothers and sisters, rejoice! Strive for full restoration, encourage one another, be of one mind, live in peace. And the God of love and peace will be with you. Greet one another with a holy kiss. All God’s people here send their greetings. May the grace of the Lord Jesus Christ, and the love of God, and the fellowship of the Holy Spirit be with you all.

Song of praise!

*Greater are you Lord
God of heaven and earth

Flow through me now
As you give life to the rivers

We sing praise to You
For there is no one greater

King and ruler of my life *

– Aimee Lockwood

I write this song as a praise to my Father God, whether life brings greatness and beauty or hardship and trials. I know that I can accomplish anything as long as I have Him beside me, as my #1 love and my guide!

God had shown me Psalms 29:1-11 after writing my song. It was the first place my bible opened after my writing!  I love how it starts with showing God’s strength and greatness. Giving God all the praise, honor and glory. Then goes into how He is in all the things of this earth, and ends where He is King of all.

Between the Song of David and the song I wrote.  The God who David praised is also the God that is glorified through my song.  I can’t wait to be giving praise along side David, to the One TRUE GOD! ~ Amen ~

Psalms 29:1-11 NLT
“Honor the lord , you heavenly beings ; honor the lord for his glory and strength. Honor the lord for the glory of his name. Worship the lord in the splendor of his holiness. The voice of the lord echoes above the sea. The God of glory thunders. The lord thunders over the mighty sea. The voice of the lord is powerful; the voice of the lord is majestic. The voice of the lord splits the mighty cedars; the lord shatters the cedars of Lebanon. He makes Lebanon’s mountains skip like a calf; he makes Mount Hermon leap like a young wild ox. The voice of the lord strikes with bolts of lightning. The voice of the lord makes the barren wilderness quake; the lord shakes the wilderness of Kadesh. The voice of the lord twists mighty oaks and strips the forests bare. In his Temple everyone shouts, “Glory!” The lord rules over the floodwaters. The lord reigns as king forever. The lord gives his people strength. The lord blesses them with peace.”

Forgiveness Inside-Out

If we confess our sins, He is faithful and just and will forgive us our sins and purify us from all unrighteousness. 1 John 1:9

I have been hearing God calling me to great things that He has for me to accomplish for Him and for his people.  The last couple months through hearing Him call me has my heart ready to do His will, yet my mind has been overcome and fills me will self doubt and lacks the ability that only through God would bring accomplishments.

Here is why “Forgiveness Inside Out”!  As I have been giving my time to God with my morning devotions.  He has placed on my heart to ask forgiveness from the inside out. The type of forgiveness I’m sharing with you has to do with self-worth. Thinking poorly of myself is a daily battle, using my failures as excuses, and thoughts of unworthiness has eaten at my core.

Something we all can do with these personal struggles:

Reflect on what Jesus has done.  Asking Jesus to forgive from these sins that weigh down at the inner most core are so important. Once doing this the Holy Spirit can work in our life and be our guide.  We let go from using our mindful impurities, and unworthy thoughts to and let Him be our filter.  God has so much more for us to accomplish and we must waken from the inside, so our outside can truly shine for His Glory.  By doing this we shall praise God  for redemption of those sins because he bring us through deliverance from the sins! (Meaning once we are forgiven the great news is we have freedom from those sins forever!)

dumbbell-curls_0

The weight of the sins while in us weigh us down like 100lb dumb bells. With Jesus forgiveness the sins turn into balloons because He has FREED us from the weight of those sins. Once they are light as balloons you get to let go of the sin as though you let go of the balloons for they will fly away and never return!19c2ac394a4fa98f5f756cf04ee2de78

Because of this we are free from:  condemnation, unworthiness, pain, sorrow, depression, loneliness, self doubt, bitterness, and so much more.

If we find our mind from that moment on struggle with any of these negative thoughts we have been forgiven for, we need to declare freedom through Jesus from them and they Must go away! How amazing is that! So Good and So TRUE!
